When you use the PMW extension on supported writing surfaces such as Google Docs, the extension operates only to provide PMW's authorship-proof, writing-history, and export features.

The extension may read text and editing context from the document you are actively working on so PMW can create revision snapshots, timeline records, proof metadata, and user-requested exports.

• The extension stores local state needed to operate, such as session state, queue state, and sync settings
• Document text, revision events, and related proof data may be transmitted to PMW servers when needed to generate proof bundles, exports, and verification records
• PMW does not need images or unrelated browsing activity for this functionality
• We may generate cryptographic proofs such as hashes and chained proof metadata; these are used to support verification features
• We aim to minimize data collection and process only what is necessary for the feature to work

If you create an account, we may collect:

• Basic account information (e.g. email)
• Usage data (e.g. feature interactions, activity logs)

We use data to:

• Provide and operate the service
• Improve functionality and user experience
• Monitor performance and reliability
• Prevent misuse or abuse

We use third-party services to operate and improve PMW, including:

• Google Analytics 4 (analytics)
• Cloudflare (hosting and performance)
